Yoh Nye Sakurai: Designer

All our products are designed by Yoh Nye Sakurai. Yoh studied design at the Osaka University of Arts in his native Japan. After working in the design field in Tokyo and Osaka, he went on to study in Italy at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan, before studying furniture conservation and restoration at Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe, England. After being awarded a first class honours degree, Yoh moved to the Isle of Wight and launched Sakoran with his partner James Nye, who helps with the administrative side of the business. Yoh's designs are inspired by the beautiful cottages and countryside around his home on the Isle of Wight.
